چکیده
Objective: The main goal of the athletes who undergo anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction (ACLR) surgery is a successful return-to-sport. At this stage, identifying muscular deficits becomes important. Hence, in study, three discriminative features based on surface electromyographic signals (sEMG) acquired dynamic protocol are introduced to assess damping ability and interpret activation patterns lower-limb muscles ACLR athletes. Methods: include median frequency power spectrum density (PSD), relative percentage equivalent or stiffness derived from frequency, energy time-frequency plane pseudo-Wigner-Ville distribution (PWVD). To evaluate features, 11 healthy (6 months post-reconstruction surgery) were recruited acquire sEMG medial lateral parts hamstrings, quadriceps, gastrocnemius pre- post-fatigue single-leg landings. Results: A significant deficiency observed hamstring by evaluating proposed features. This indicates that more attention should be paid muscle pre-return-to-sport rehabilitations. Conclusion: quality electromyography-based assessments subjects depends acquisition protocol, as well type nature extracted combinatorial application both energy-based (derived PWVD) power-based PSD) could facilitate assessment process providing additional biomechanical information regarding behavior surrounding knee.

sEMG Characteristics of the Lower Extremity Muscles During Walking in Mentally Retarded Adolescents
Purpose: Less attention has been paid to the electromyographic activity of the lower extremity muscles, which is considered as an essential part of the kinetic studies on the gait of mentally retarded individuals. Hence, the study aims at determining the surface electromyography characteristics of the lower extremity muscles of mentally retarded adolescents during walking. Methods: It is a cau...
متن کاملMuscle Activation Patterns When Passively Stretching Spastic Lower Limb Muscles of Children with Cerebral Palsy
The definition of spasticity as a velocity-dependent activation of the tonic stretch reflex during a stretch to a passive muscle is the most widely accepted. However, other mechanisms are also thought to contribute to pathological muscle activity and, in patients post-stroke and spinal cord injury can result in different activation patterns. In the lower-limbs of children with spastic cerebral ...

متن کاملEffects of 8 weeks of water-based exercise on the lower limb muscles strength in Parkinson\'s
Introduction: Muscular weakness, particularly weakness of lower limb muscles is a symptom of Parkinson disease, which, together with other symptoms, will result in a variety of movement disorders. This research is designed to assess the effectiveness of a water-based exercise program on the lower limb muscles strength of Parkinson patients' knee joints. Materials and Methods: In a semi-exp...
متن کاملComparision the timing of lower limb muscles activity in the stance phase of running between athletes with reconstructed anterior cruciate ligament and healthy
ABSTRACT Introduction: after reconstructing the anterior cruciate ligament, in order to prevent re-injury of the ligament, evaluation of neuromuscular function is of clinical importance in coordinating the onset time and time to peak of lower limb's muscles activity. Aim: Therefore the purpose of this study was to compare the timing of muscles activity in the stance phase of running between a...
